2010 AzSEF will take place on March 22-25, 2010
Science fairs provide a life-long experience for students. Science projects give students the opportunity to learn the process of science, develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, and provides a hands-on approach to learning.
AzSEF promotes the concept of project-based learning--- "Learn Science by Doing Science", and the development of science process skills for ALL students as a part of their normal educational experience. This event has widespread support from people throughout the region, including schools, institutions of higher education, business, industry, government, science museums, and children’s clubs. The goal is to have student participants and the surrounding community view AzSEF as an extremely valuable experience and to elevate AzSEF to be one the most eagerly looked-forward-to-science education events of the year.
Rules on the Web: The International Rules and Guidelines for Society for Science & the Public's website is in a number of formats to better aid all those involved in the process: students, parents, teachers, mentors, fair directors and local, regional and state scientific review committees (SRC) and institutional review boards (IRB).
Arizona Science and Engineering Fair provides a venue for students from across Arizona to present their research in a fair and equitable arena that identifies the success of every student and recognition of their efforts. Through the AzSEF, onsite training, curriculum and resources are provided to participating schools, teachers and students throughout Arizona.
